The NCAA DI College World Series is set to take place at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska, June 14-24.
The #1 and #2 seeds in the tournament have had key contributions from Canadians through the season.
Robin Villeneuve (Gatineau, QC) with #1 seed Tennessee Volunteers
Villeneuve is having a super season playing for the Tennessee Volunteers, in 34 games is batting .287 with 23 hits (5 homers, 3 doubles), 22 RBIs, and 20 runs
Emilien Pitre (Repentigny, QC) with #2 seed Kentucky Wildcats
Pitre is having a super season playing for the Kentucky Wildcats, in 59 games is batting .298 with 68 hits (9 homers, 1 triple, 19 doubles), 56 RBIs, 54 runs, and 25 stolen bases.
On Friday, the #1 Vols play #8 Florida State (47-15) 7 p.m. EDT on ESPN.
On Saturday, the #2 Wildcats play #7 NC State (37- 21) at 2 p.m. EDT on ESPN.
